Severn Eights Head
Severn Eights Head is a brand-new annual rowing event, launching for the first time this year as part of our 150th anniversary celebrations. Taking place on Saturday, 11th April, this inaugural edition marks an exciting addition to the head racing calendar and a milestone moment in the club’s history.

The Severn Eights Head is a coxed eights–only competition, welcoming crews across a wide range of categories, including Juniors, Seniors (Club and Academic), and Masters.
The Club Cup will be awarded to the fastest Open crew, with the Club Plate awarded to the fastest Women’s crew. Medals will be presented to winners in every event, and to mark our 150th anniversary, all medal winners this year will receive exclusive, limited-edition commemorative medals.
We look forward to welcoming crews to celebrate high-quality racing, club history, and the start of what we hope will become a long-standing annual tradition.
